Hanoi Police announced that during this period, the city will temporarily ban all vehicles from circulating on routes around August Revolution Square. These routes include: Trang Tien section from Tran Quang Khai to Ngo Quyen, Phan Chu Trinh section from Ly Thuong Kiet to the square, Le Thanh Tong section from Ly Thuong Kiet to the square, Co Tan, Ly Thai To section from State Bank of Vietnam Square to the square, Ngo Quyen section from State Bank of Vietnam Square to Hai Ba Trung, Hai Ba Trung section from Ngo Quyen to Le Thanh Tong, Dang Thai Than, and Pham Ngu Lao.
During the same hours, the city will also temporarily ban all common trucks, specialized trucks, and passenger cars with 16 seats or more. Exceptions apply to buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with protection insignias, police and military vehicles, and other priority vehicles as regulated. Personal oto and moto will be restricted on several routes, including: Ngo Quyen section from Hai Ba Trung to Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung section from Ngo Quyen to Le Duan, Phan Chu Trinh and Le Thanh Tong sections from Ly Thuong Kiet to Tran Hung Dao, the area around State Bank of Vietnam Square, Ly Dao Thanh, Tong Dan, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hang Bai, Ba Trieu, and Quang Trung.

Hanoi Police advised vehicles traveling from the eastern and northeastern areas to the western and northwestern parts of the city to use Nhat Tan, Long Bien, Vinh Tuy, or Thanh Tri bridges. They should then follow major routes such as De 401, Tran Nhat Duat, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Vo Chi Cong, and Ring Road 3, and vice versa.
Vehicles traveling from the northern to the southern parts of the city are recommended to use Nhat Tan or Thang Long bridges. Afterward, they should follow routes such as Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Ring Road 2, and Ring Road 3, and vice versa.
The "Light Concert - Welcome New Year 2026" program will take place at 20h on 31/1 at August Revolution Square, Cua Nam ward. The event aims to celebrate the successful 14th National Congress of the Party and is open free of charge to residents and tourists.
