In Official Dispatch No. 155/2025, the prime minister commended the National Achievements Exhibition, held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of National Day, for attracting significant public interest and generating a strong positive response.
The exhibition honors Vietnam's history and showcases the remarkable achievements of the past 80 years. It reinforces public trust in the country's path of innovation and sustainable development, while also offering citizens a firsthand experience of the nation's progress.
The extension to 15/9 (originally scheduled to close on 5/9) aims to meet public demand and provide more time to visit and engage with the exhibition's activities and events. This decision follows a proposal from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The prime minister has tasked the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism with coordinating with other ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the extended exhibition, maximizing public access.
Relevant ministries and sectors are working with Vingroup Corporation and service providers to minimize costs related to venue rental, equipment, and labor, reducing the burden on the state budget. Ministries, sectors, and localities are also determining their funding needs from the central budget for the extended period and submitting these requests to the Ministry of Finance.
The "National Achievements: 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition opened on 28/8 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center in Dong Anh. It features 230 booths across nearly 260,000 square meters.
The exhibition is divided into three main zones: a general overview zone (Kim Quy Exhibition Hall); an outdoor exhibition zone (East, West, South, and North Yards); and an international exhibition zone featuring 12 cultural industries (Block A Exhibition Hall). The exhibits showcase the achievements of 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries and sectors, and various businesses.
During its first three days (28-30/8), the exhibition attracted over 1.18 million visitors. On the afternoon of 30/8, a large influx of visitors caused significant traffic congestion on Truong Sa Street. By 5:30 pm, the traffic jam stretched almost 5 km, primarily in the lane from Long Bien, starting from the Long Bien intersection overpass.
