Nguyen Long Hai appointed deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies

Nguyen Long Hai, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and permanent deputy secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, has been appointed deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the 2020-2025 term.

On 4/9, the Politburo announced the decision to transfer Nguyen Long Hai from his current positions. He will no longer be a member of the Executive Committee and Standing Board, nor will he hold the position of permanent deputy secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu congratulated Nguyen Long Hai and asked him, along with the Executive Committee, Standing Board, and Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies, to utilize their capabilities and experience to successfully complete their tasks, especially with the upcoming first Congress of the Party Organization of Central Party Agencies approaching.

Accepting the appointment, Nguyen Long Hai acknowledged the honor and significant responsibility. He committed to cultivating his political mettle, ethics, and working style, and to studying and updating himself on the latest regulations from the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for effective implementation.

Nguyen Long Hai, 49, is from Phu Tho and holds a Doctor of Law degree. He has held various positions within the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, including secretary and president of the Central Council of the Vietnam Young Pioneer Organization (2014-2017). In 1/2018, he served as vice chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province. He later became deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province. In 2021, he held the position of secretary of the Party Committee of Central Businesses. In 11/2024, he was assigned as secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee. Following administrative restructuring, he served as permanent deputy secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

On the same day, the Politburo also decided to transfer Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, from his position as head of the Party Central Committee Office and other concurrent positions. Trung was appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Board of the Government Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. He was also appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Board, and as secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Previously, on 30/8, Le Hoai Trung was appointed acting minister for the 2025-2030 term by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
