The Department of Traffic Police (DTP), under the Ministry of Public Security, reported over 13,200 road traffic violations nationwide on 30/4. Among these, 2,104 cases involved alcohol violations and 3,253 were speeding offenses. Other infractions included overloaded cargo, exceeding size limits, carrying too many passengers, and drug use.
On waterways, police inspected and issued citations for 217 violations. Railways recorded 85 violations.

Today, 37 accidents occurred nationwide, resulting in 18 deaths and 22 injuries, all on roads. Compared to the first day of the 30/4-1/5 holiday in 2025, accidents decreased by 33, deaths by 18, and injuries by 29.
The DTP urges the public to avoid consuming alcohol when driving, to obey speed limits, lane discipline, and traffic signals. Drivers should also avoid using phones while operating vehicles and actively maintain a safe following distance.
This year's 30/4-1/5 holiday extends for four days, from thursday through sunday.
