In his article "Steadfast Under the Party's Banner" on 2/2, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that under the party's leadership, Vietnam transformed from an oppressed, impoverished nation into an independent, unified, and self-reliant country with an increasingly prominent position on the international stage. From a war-ravaged nation, Vietnam embarked on economic reforms in 1986, overcoming crises to become a middle-income developing country, with improving living standards for its people.
The party leader emphasized the profound lesson that the revolutionary cause belongs to the people, is carried out by the people, and is for the people. The people not only forged historical victories but also represent an endless source of strength for the party's existence and development. All party policies and guidelines must stem from the legitimate interests and aspirations of the people.
The General Secretary called upon the entire party, people, and armed forces to leverage their dedication, wisdom, and resolve to build a powerful Vietnam, deeply integrated with the world, enabling the nation to stand alongside major powers in the new era.

From 3/2 to 7/2/1930, in Cuu Long (Hong Kong, China), under the leadership of Nguyen Ai Quoc, three communist organizations in Vietnam – the Indochinese Communist Party, the Annamese Communist Party, and the Indochinese Communist League – held a unification conference to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam. The conference adopted the party's concise political program, concise strategy, brief program, and brief statutes.
The party was founded with the objective of leading Vietnam's revolutionary movement to liberate the nation, liberate classes, liberate society, liberate humanity, and advance towards socialism.
