General secretary To Lam and state president Luong Cuong inaugurated the new headquarters of the state president's office on the morning of 2/2.

Former president Nguyen Minh Triet, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and leaders from central ministries, sectors, and Hanoi attended the inauguration ceremony for the renovation, repair, upgrade, and new construction project of the State President's Office headquarters (2 Le Thach - Bac Bo Phu) this morning.

The state president highlighted that Bac Bo Phu and its surrounding complex of buildings represent a sacred historical space for the nation. This was where President Ho Chi Minh and the Provisional Government worked during the early days of the State of Democratic Republic of Vietnam. This site has become a symbol of revolutionary government, an independent, self-reliant, legitimate state, embodying the aspiration for freedom, peace, and the indomitable will of the Vietnamese people.

The state president expressed gratitude to Party and State leaders, led by General Secretary To Lam, and acknowledged the support from central ministries, sectors, and Hanoi. He commended the Central Party Office, the Office of the State President, and the contractors, staff, engineers, workers, and laborers for their dedication and commitment during the project's execution. The Office of the State President, as the recipient of the handover, is tasked with managing, operating, and utilizing the facility effectively.

They ensured the project harmonized the preservation of historical architectural relics with modernization, security, safety, and a dignified, modern working space befitting the State President's Office's role. The project was completed on schedule after 12 months of implementation.
