Around 3 p.m., gusts of wind and rain suddenly swept through areas in Trang Bom and the former Long Thanh districts.
In Binh An commune, a whirlwind hit Binh An Primary School, causing trees to collapse. The wind also peeled back and tossed the third-floor roof into the schoolyard. The incident, which occurred during school hours, startled teachers and students.

Truong Quoc Phong, Chairman of Binh An Commune People's Committee, confirmed no injuries. "The commune People's Committee, along with police and military forces, are at the scene to assess damage and support the school's recovery," Phong stated. Following the incident, the school notified parents to pick up children early for safety.
This incident follows a storm on the afternoon of 3/5, which swept through Bu Dang commune. That event caused damage, unroofing homes, toppling tens of hectares of durian and fruit trees, and spoiling over 25 tons of durian. The Southern region is in its rainy season, and rain with storms is common in the afternoons and evenings during this period.
