The airport will increase its operating flights during the hours of 6h to 23h, from 25/4 to 5/5.
The specialized management agency stated that the decision to increase flight operations at Tan Son Nhat airport followed a review of actual capacity and optimization of peak hour slots. This aims to prevent aircraft from holding in the air and prioritize key routes. The adjustment will also help reduce aviation fuel consumption amidst limited supply due to the Middle East conflict, while meeting airlines' increased flight demands for the upcoming holiday.

For the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and 30/4 holidays, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam noted a relatively even distribution in booking trends. This is attributed to the two holidays occurring close together, extending the break period and allowing passengers more flexibility in choosing their itineraries.
During the initial days of the holiday period, seat availability remained high on tourist routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to various destinations. Key domestic routes, such as Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, also showed low occupancy rates, ranging from 20% to 40%. This indicates that passengers still have many flight and time slot options for their travel needs during this year's holidays.
Conversely, some routes to popular tourist destinations, including Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa, Con Dao; and Hanoi - Tuy Hoa, Chu Lai, Dong Hoi, saw over 90% occupancy on peak travel days. In the reverse direction, travel demand is expected to increase towards the end of the holiday period as passengers return to major cities, particularly Ho Chi Minh City.
