Heavy rain poured across Ho Chi Minh City from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, causing deep flooding on streets such as Do Xuan Hop, Nguyen Duy Trinh, and in the Thao Dien area (formerly Thu Duc City). On Do Xuan Hop street, water rose above vehicle wheels, making travel difficult for many.

In sections where water rose over half a meter, numerous vehicles stalled. Residents struggled to wade through the heavy rain to find places for repairs.

In some deeply flooded spots, passing oto generated strong waves that knocked down motorcyclists. A mother and child on a scooter were swept towards the sidewalk on Do Xuan Hop street by these waves.

A motorcyclist who fell directly in front of an oncoming oto quickly pulled their vehicle aside to avoid a collision.

Not only motorcycles, but an ambulance also stalled in the middle of the road after water entered its exhaust system.
