Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, was awarded the first-class labor order on the afternoon of 19/5. Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man presented the prestigious award on behalf of the Party and State leadership, recognizing Nguyen Doan Anh's exceptionally outstanding achievements during his career and his contributions to national construction, defense, and socio-economic development.

Expressing his honor and emotion, Nguyen Doan Anh received the award on the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. He affirmed that this recognition is not only a source of pride but also motivation to continue striving, upholding responsibility, solidarity, and dedication in serving the Party, State, and people.

Nguyen Doan Anh has a distinguished career, serving extensively in the military in various capacities. Notably, during his tenure as Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, he spearheaded initiatives for socio-economic development and promoted science and technology. These efforts were instrumental in transforming Thanh Hoa into a significant growth hub for the North Central region and the nation.

The chairman of the National Assembly expressed confidence that Nguyen Doan Anh will continue to leverage his abilities and experience to work with the National Assembly Standing Committee and other National Assembly agencies, successfully fulfilling the duties entrusted by the Party, State, and people.

A native of Ha Noi, Nguyen Doan Anh is a member of the 13th and 14th Party Central Committee. He holds degrees in combined arms command and staff university, and advanced military specialization. His past roles include Deputy Commander and Commander of the Ha Noi Capital Command, Commander of Military Region 4, and Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

In 10/2024, he was promoted to senior lieutenant general. Later in 2024, the Politburo assigned and appointed him Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Earlier this year, the National Assembly elected him Vice Chairman of the 16th National Assembly.
