The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with visiting team Blooming advancing on a 2-1 aggregate win from the first leg. However, a post-match brawl overshadowed the result when players from both sides lost their composure after the final whistle. They gathered, exchanged insults, and then engaged in a brawl.
The situation escalated when staff and team members from both benches joined the melee. Police had to use tear gas to stop the violence.
The brawl led to 17 red cards in the Bolivia National Cup on 26/11.
According to Bolivian news agency El Potosi, the incident began when Real Oruro star Sebastian Zeballos was surrounded by Blooming players. He struggled to break free by pushing opponents, before being helped by teammates. Julia Vila, Zeballos's teammate, angrily threw punches at Blooming players, causing the situation to erupt and spiral out of control.
Even Real Oruro coach Marcelo Robledo joined the fray and was knocked down by another Blooming coach. 20 police officers rushed onto the field to calm tempers but were unable to, before stronger measures like tear gas and batons were used.
Blooming coach Mauricio Soria eventually pulled his players into the changing room and calmed them, ending the chaotic scene.
A report sent to the Bolivia Football Federation later showed that head referee Renan Castillo issued a total of 17 red cards, penalizing 11 players and six coaching staff members from both teams.
