In observance of Martyrs' and Invalids' Day on 27/7, the organizers of the "81-year journey - for national security" race are offering a 20% discount on registration fees for all distances, giving more runners a chance to participate in the event.

With the discount applied, fees are 560,000 VND for the 5km distance, 720,000 VND for 10km, 840,000 VND for 21km, and 960,000 VND for the 42km full marathon.

According to the organizers, this program serves as a thank-you activity for 27/7 and represents the final opportunity for athletes to join this special race.

The "81-year journey - for national security" race will take place from 31/7 to 2/8 at NovaWorld Phan Thiet. The event is part of the Sports Festival series, organized by the Public Security Sports Association in collaboration with NovaGroup, and operated by VnExpress Marathon. It commemorates the 81st anniversary of the Public Security Force's traditional day.

The race course will guide runners through Phan Thiet's coastal paths, integrating with NovaWorld's green and spacious internal routes. A unique aspect of the course is its blend of sea, city, and hills, offering a diverse experience. New recreational runners can opt for the 5-10km distances, while experienced athletes can challenge themselves with the 21km or 42km distances, which include several hilly sections.

Participants will receive a race shirt. Upon completion, they will be awarded a finisher shirt and a medal inspired by the 81st anniversary of the Public Security Force's traditional day. The medal design features the Public Security emblem as a highlight, honoring the force's spirit of combat, service, and national protection.

The race shirt features a dominant red color, inspired by the national flag. The Public Security emblem is prominently displayed on the chest. The back of the shirt includes a subtle five-pointed star and the phrase "81-year journey - for national security".

Beyond the race, participants can immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Sports Festival, featuring several concurrent sporting events: the U23 National Youth Triathlon Championship, the Summer Shooting Cup, the ASEAN Police and Southern Public Security Golf Tournament, and the International Tennis 35+ tournament. The Sports Festival opening ceremony on the evening of 1/8 is expected to combine an art program with a fireworks display at the main square, enhancing the tourism and sports experience for runners.

NovaWorld Phan Thiet, the event venue, also offers numerous entertainment and leisure options for athletes and their families, including amusement parks, water parks, dining areas, and coastal viewpoints. This urban area is approximately two hours' drive from Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM) via expressway, making it convenient for runners to attend the race and enjoy a weekend getaway.

After 24/7, registration will close to allow for operational preparations for the race, which is scheduled for early August.
