Female runners energize VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2025 expo

Many female runners chose athletic attire, showcasing their personalities when collecting their bibs for the VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong on 19-20/12.

The VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2025 expo, held on 19-20/12 at To Huu Flower Garden, Tran Hung Dao Street, buzzed with excitement as 14,000 runners, including thousands of female athletes, gathered to collect their bibs. Returning to the Port City for the third time, the event marks a significant occasion for the running community.

Female participants were a prominent feature at the expo, many arriving in vibrant athletic wear that highlighted their individual styles. The energy of these runners set an enthusiastic tone for the upcoming race.

Among the participants was Tran Hong Hanh, a Hai Phong local, who is competing in her home city's VnExpress Marathon for the second time. After completing the 10km last season, she has increased her challenge to the 21km distance this year, aiming to push her personal limits.

Vy Phan, a familiar figure in the Gia Lai running community, arrived early to collect her bib for the 42km race, her usual distance. Phan has achieved impressive results recently, completing two sub 3:30 marathons in November, including one at the VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Loan and Trinh Thi Le, both from the "Yeu chay bo" (Running Lovers) group, are known for their distinctive race attire. Both runners registered for the 21km distance, with a route passing Hai Phong's iconic landmarks, such as the Grand Opera House, the Le Chan Statue, and the City Museum.

Duong Mai Linh from Hanoi, a veteran of the VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong since its first season, shared her plans. This year, Linh is combining the race with a family trip, looking forward to exploring the Port City's culinary scene after race day.

Many runners expressed their excitement about meeting friends from the national running community, highlighting the social aspect of the event. Organizers confirmed that over 10,000 runners traveled from outside Hai Phong province to participate.

The 42km distance proved to be the most popular, attracting about 5,000 registrants. The 10km distance drew 2,500 participants, many of whom are visitors eager to experience the race atmosphere and discover the unique charm of the City of Red Flamboyant Flowers.

A female runner checked in with the event's logo and symbols. Tran Ha Trang, another runner, also checked in with her 42km bib.

The VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2025, starting at 2:30h on 21/12, gathers over 14,000 athletes and serves as the concluding event for the 2025 VnExpress Marathon series.
