The Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026, organized by Duc Huong Anh Company Limited (DHA Vietnam), will feature three distances: 3, 10, and 21 km. The race course begins from Thien Duong Boulevard, extending onto the 60m-wide Apollo Boulevard within the Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long coastal mega-city, and then traverses the bayfront road. With its unique location embracing the world heritage bay, the event promises one of the most impressive race courses.

Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long is the first ESG++ urban area developed according to ISO 37125 standards for sustainable urban and community development. Athletes will compete on wide, flat surfaces with few turns and controlled traffic. This design provides favorable conditions for participants to achieve personal bests.

Beyond the scenic course, the marathon carries the powerful message "Run for Net Zero" – running for a clean atmosphere. Participants will wear "Run for Net Zero" shirts, aiming to set a Vietnam record for the largest number of athletes simultaneously spreading the message of green living and supporting Vietnam's goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tri, General Director of DHA Vietnam, stated that with the message "Run through wonders - Reach for records – Run for Net Zero", the organizers aim to highlight the synergy between the spirit of endurance sports and the journey to achieve environmental goals.

"Tens of thousands of athletes in 'Run for Net Zero' shirts are expected to become a symbol of action, promoting Vietnam's culture, tourism, and sustainable green lifestyle globally," the company leader added.

The event will also host various side activities, including a music night, family games, and a fireworks display. These activities aim to foster a connection between sport, modern urban experiences, and environmental responsibility.

Additionally, to celebrate Quang Ninh becoming a centrally-run city, the organizers are offering race bibs to local residents. QR codes for registration were sent by the Department of Culture, Sports to a large number of Quang Ninh residents. The program will conclude once the full quota of bibs is registered.

Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long is an ESG++ mega-city spanning over 6,200 ha, developed by Vingroup adjacent to Ha Long Bay. The project is planned according to ISO 37125 standards for sustainable urban and community development, fostering harmony among people, nature, environment, and technology.
