Hoiana Resort & Golf is set to elevate the Aquaman Vietnam experience, integrating its resort and lifestyle standards into the upcoming swim-run event. During the partnership signing ceremony with VnExpress Marathon on the morning of 5/6 in Hanoi, Du Thi Mai Anh, Vice President of Destination Marketing for Hoiana Resort & Golf, emphasized that Aquaman Vietnam aligns with the brand's direction to foster a sports-loving community while promoting tourism through outdoor activities.

After a hiatus, Aquaman Vietnam returns as Hoiana Aquaman 2026, expected to draw 2,000 athletes. This event marks the first swim-run (aquathlon) competition in Vietnam and is part of the established VnExpress Marathon series.

Mai Anh highlighted Hoiana Resort & Golf's strategic shift since 2023, moving beyond traditional marketing to promote the destination through cultural and sporting events. As a recognized resort and lifestyle destination, Hoiana aims to offer Aquaman athletes experiences that extend beyond a mere competition.

"We don't want participants to simply compete and leave. Hoiana aims for a complete experiential journey, where athletes can explore the coastal landscape, resort amenities, and lifestyle the destination offers. Aquaman Vietnam aligns with this vision", Mai Anh shared.

A Hoiana representative stated the company values VnExpress Marathon's organizational expertise, confident the event will provide a quality experience for the sports-loving community. As the host, Hoiana will focus on preparing infrastructure, services, and operations to meet athletes' needs.

"We aim to accompany Aquaman for at least three years to gradually expand the event's scale, increase athlete numbers, and develop additional sideline experiences", she said.

Pham Trong Nghiep, Head of the VnExpress Marathon Organizing Committee, noted that bringing Aquaman to Hoiana introduces a new destination to the event series. "We anticipate the event will provide a quality competitive experience while helping athletes discover another tourism destination in the central region", he stated.

Duong Hai Anh, the event's Race Director, praised the course at Hoiana Resort & Golf. He noted that the coastal route boasts beautiful scenery, open spaces, and suitability for endurance sports. "This course has great potential to leave a mark on athletes and contribute to promoting the destination's image to the nationwide sports community", he added.

Following previous events in Tra Co (2022), Phan Thiet (2023), and Ho Tram (2024), Aquaman Vietnam has made an impression on the swim-run community. This year, the event features various competition categories suitable for both professional and new athletes. The individual Aquaman category includes a 2 km ocean swim and a 21 km run. Additionally, there are: Aquaman relay, Half Aqua (1 km swim, 10 km run), Sprint Aqua (500m swim, 5 km run), and Aqua Kid for children. Interested athletes can register here.

Hoiana Resort & Golf, located in Duy Nghia commune, Da Nang city, spans a 4 km private beach. This resort boasts an enclosed coastal area with infrastructure for sports and leisure.

The organizing committee believes hosting the event within the coastal resort complex offers athletes convenient accommodation, reduced travel time, and better recovery conditions post-competition. Athletes registering for individual bibs can book rooms at Hoiana Resort & Golf starting from 2,3 million VND per night, approximately 30% lower than the listed price on the resort's website.

Beyond the competition, athletes and their families can enjoy numerous resort amenities, including: kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), a children's play area spanning nearly 3,000 m2, a mini water park at New World Hoiana Hotel, or the Hoiana Shores Golf Club – one of the region's renowned golf courses.
