In the 53rd minute, Nathaniel Brown broke free on the left side of the penalty area, delivering a cross for Kane to tap in from close range, extending the lead to 5-0. This goal contributed to the dominant win for the Allianz Arena hosts and etched the English striker's name into Bundesliga history.
After 100 appearances in the German top flight, Kane has scored 102 goals. This tally surpasses the previous record of 72 goals in the first 100 matches, set by Timo Konietzka for Borussia Dortmund in the 1960s, by 30 goals. Konietzka's achievement had stood for over six decades.

Since leaving Tottenham to join Bayern in 2023, Kane has consistently reached new scoring milestones. In September, during a 7-0 win against Union Berlin, he became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 goals, achieving the feat in just 98 appearances.
Across all competitions, Kane has scored 155 goals in 157 matches for Bayern, securing two Bundesliga titles and the German National Cup in 2026. This season alone, the 33-year-old striker has netted nine goals across all competitions: four in the Bundesliga, three in the Champions League, and two in the German National Cup.
According to ESPN, Kane is nearing a contract extension with Bayern until 2029. His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season. His consistent goal-scoring form also makes Kane a leading candidate for the Ballon d'Or, with the award ceremony scheduled for 26/10.

Beyond Kane's record, the 6-1 victory over Leipzig featured a brilliant performance from Luis Diaz, who scored a hat-trick. The other two goals for Bayern were contributed by Aleksandar Pavlovic and Michael Olise. RB Leipzig's lone goal came from Andrija Maksimovic's strike in second-half stoppage time.
Kane praised Bayern's performance, particularly the team's response to doubts following two consecutive draws. According to the English striker, Bayern created enough chances to win previous matches but failed to convert them, leading to increased pressure and criticism. Therefore, maintaining composure, limiting errors, and dominating the game from start to finish against Leipzig was important.
"We needed to make a statement after two disappointing results, and we did that from the first minute. The whole team played excellently, from attack to defense. When you score six goals against an opponent like Leipzig, you have every right to be proud," Kane said after the match.
Midfielder Joshua Kimmich also expressed satisfaction with Bayern's display, especially during the first 60 minutes, when the home side created numerous opportunities and could have scored more goals. According to the German player, Bayern maintained their dominance even after halftime, before reducing their tempo in the final half hour.
The victory allowed Bayern to capitalize on Dortmund's 0-0 draw with Union Berlin, returning to the top of the Bundesliga table. Crucially, this result provides Bayern with good momentum for their upcoming Champions League qualifying round match against Arsenal in Munich on 21/10.
