Approximately 10 minutes before halftime, the momentum shifted as Leeds' physical conditioning began to wane. Manchester City gradually overcame the pressure and started to launch counter-attacks. Omar Marmoush and Nico O'Reilly saw their chances denied within a minute, signaling a change in fortunes towards the visitors.

This marks their longest winning run in the league since the period from 29/11/2025 to 27/12/2025, which also saw six victories. This milestone indicates that the sky blue squad is accelerating at the right time, with the resilience and pragmatism that have become their trademark.

Crucially, yesterday's victory at Elland Road allowed Manchester City to cut Arsenal's lead to two points, with both teams having played 28 matches. Guardiola's men exerted significant pressure ahead of Arsenal's clash with Chelsea today.

Even if Arsenal win the North London derby to re-establish a five-point lead, Manchester City still holds their destiny in the title race. With the two teams set to face each other directly at the Etihad Stadium on 18/4, Manchester City would secure the championship if they win all their remaining 10 matches.
