The NAB Vietnam virtual race operates as a free-form running event on vRace, aiming to connect the technology-loving community with sports while contributing to community programs. For every kilometer recorded, NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam will donate 10,000 VND to its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund. This fund supports technology innovation initiatives by information technology students and other social responsibility programs across Vietnam.

The race is hosted on the vRace platform, an online sports platform operated by FPT Online. This platform allows users to log activities, track performance, and participate in real-time leaderboards. vRace also integrates with the VnExpress Marathon ecosystem, assisting runners with online training and competition alongside physical races.
The organizers stated that the virtual race also aims to connect NAB's global workforce with the community in Vietnam. Established over 6 years ago, NAB Vietnam currently employs over 2,500 technology engineers. These engineers develop software solutions, serving more than 10 million NAB customers in Australia and New Zealand.
