Coach Nguyen Hoang Vu, born in 1988, currently leads the national swimming team. In 2025, he coached and directed athletes participating in the 11th Asian Championship in India, where they secured two gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals. Additionally, at the 3rd Southeast Asian Open Water Championship in Thailand, Vu guided Vietnamese swimmers to achieve 5 gold medals and one silver medal.
