According to Eurosport, Pogba sustained an injury during a training session at St George's Park, England, on 11/8, as Monaco prepared for a friendly match against Coventry. During a one-on-one drill, the French midfielder suddenly stopped, cried out in pain, and collapsed on the field. He injured his left thigh and needed two coaching staff members to help him limp off.
Teammates and coach Filipe Luis consoled Pogba, who had his left thigh bandaged. The former Man Utd and Juventus midfielder then sat on the bench, head bowed and face buried in his shirt, clearly showing his disappointment.
Monaco is reportedly set to negotiate with Pogba and his agent regarding a contract termination. The French midfielder's contract runs until summer 2027, with a weekly salary under 60,000 USD.

This latest injury marks another setback for Pogba, who faced a right knee problem earlier this summer. The 33-year-old midfielder played only one half during the pre-season, in Monaco's 5-2 victory over Saint-Priest on 18/7. He subsequently had to rest due to a recurrence of the knee injury.
Monaco viewed this summer as a critical period to assess Pogba's potential contribution. However, instead of demonstrating his readiness to return, the French midfielder continues to battle fitness issues.
Juventus terminated Pogba's contract before he joined Monaco with high expectations after his doping ban was reduced on appeal. The French midfielder was allowed to return to football from 3/2025, following the shortened ban period.
However, his time at Monaco has not met expectations. Last season, Pogba played only 6 matches, totaling 115 minutes, due to ongoing fitness issues. According to British newspaper Sportmail, the 33-year-old midfielder has been offered to several Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs amidst uncertainty about his future at Monaco.
Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus between 2012 and 2016. In summer 2016, the French midfielder set a transfer record of 118 million USD when he returned to Man Utd, where he won the Europa League in 2017 but also faced criticism regarding his form and conduct.
For the French national team, Pogba scored 11 goals in 91 matches, serving as a key player in the squads that won the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League.
