Serena noted that she feels more active since losing weight via the injectable medication. The 23-time Grand Slam champion explained that while she typically loses weight quickly, she often hits a plateau. This product, she stated, helped her achieve better weight loss and improved overall health.
Having given birth twice, Serena shared that she experienced various health issues, necessitating weight loss for improvement. At 44, her priority is maintaining her health, and she is actively investing in health-related companies.
During her playing career, Serena was recognized for her powerful physique, typically weighing around 70 kg. This build contributed to her historically strong playing style, characterized by a formidable serve and a forehand rivaling those of male players.
Serena's commercial during the Super Bowl generated considerable controversy. On social media, some fans expressed concern, suggesting she should not endorse an injectable medication without sufficient long-term validation.
"I have never taken shortcuts in my career and have always worked hard," Serena stated, reflecting on her post-retirement business ventures. "I tried everything to reach my desired weight but was unsuccessful. That frustrated me, and this product has been genuinely effective and helpful for me."
Serena concluded her career, spanning over two decades, after the 2022 US Open. She reached 33 Grand Slam finals, winning 23 of them. She is also one of the most successful doubles players, securing 10 Grand Slam titles. Had she not lost four consecutive singles finals in 2018 and 2019, she would have equaled or even surpassed Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 major titles.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) recently announced that Serena Williams is eligible to return to professional competition from 22/2. This follows her six-month inclusion on the mandatory doping test list for athletes seeking to reinstate their playing status.
While Serena previously denied a return to the court, the ITIA's recent actions suggest she might be targeting a historic comeback at 44. If she does return, she would follow her older sister Venus Williams, who recently competed at the Australian Open at 45. Venus has frequently expressed a strong desire to play alongside Serena again, especially after they secured 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together.
