According to the announcement from the Sports Festival 2026 organizing committee, two tournaments part of the ATP Challenger 50 system are being held at the NovaWorld International Tennis Complex, one of the prominent venues at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

Specifically, the Phan Thiet 3 tournament runs from 7-13/9, followed by the Phan Thiet 4 tournament from 14-20/9. Each tournament features 32 players competing in men's singles and 16 men's doubles pairs on outdoor hard courts.

The ATP Challenger Tour is part of the global men's tennis competitive structure, offering players the chance to accumulate points, improve their rankings, and progressively advance towards the ATP Tour level.

According to a representative from the organizing committee: "For young players or those on their way back to higher rankings, challenger tournaments are a vital part of their careers".

In january, the ATP Challenger 2026 successfully hosted the Phan Thiet 1 and Phan Thiet 2 tournaments, with a total prize money of 63,000 USD per tournament. Soon Woo Kwon, a former world No. 52, won the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Challenger 1, and subsequently triumphed at the Gwangju Open 2026 and Wuxi Open 2026.

As part of Sports Festival 2026, the ATP Challenger 50 follows the successful ITF Masters Tour 100 tournament (30/7-2/8) held at NovaWorld Phan Thiet. The organizing committee notes tennis as one of the sports with a significant international competition presence in this year's event series.

"The ATP Challenger 50 adds a highlight to the final stage of Sports Festival 2026", a representative from the organizing committee emphasized. From platforms for young athletes and amateur enthusiasts to a series of international tournaments, the event series is progressively expanding the range of sports experiences available at NovaWorld Phan Thiet and throughout Vietnam.

According to the announcement, NovaWorld Phan Thiet is making its mark with a diverse sports ecosystem, particularly its tennis and pickleball court complex, which is gradually establishing a space for competitions, training, and recreational activities. Continuously hosting ATP and ITF system tournaments helps elevate the destination's status on the sports and tourism map, providing Vietnamese audiences access to professional tennis.

Sports Festival 2026 spans from july to september, featuring 12 tournaments across diverse disciplines: triathlon, golf, tennis, shooting, running, cycling, pickleball, beach volleyball, and beach tennis.
