Having representatives participate in the specialized bodies of AFF, AFC, and FIFA facilitates Vietnam football's exchange of experiences in management, competition organization, and international cooperation development. During the 9th term, the VFF Executive Committee and its operational apparatus continued to implement professional and external activities, coordinating resources to serve the national football system.
Ahead of the VFF's 10th Congress, for the 2026-2030 term, the following objectives have been set for the next phase: maintaining achievements in Southeast Asia, enhancing competitiveness in Asia, developing youth training, and improving the quality of professional football leagues. V.League remains a crucial competitive environment for domestic players and a source of talent for the national team. Youth training efforts aim to strengthen connections among training centers, clubs, and the national team system.
VFF also identified further improving governance, coordinating resources, and expanding international cooperation as key areas supporting the development orientation of Vietnam football in the new term. The 10th VFF Congress is expected to determine operational directions and leadership personnel for the 2026-2030 term, based on a review of the 9th term's achievements.
