Tiger Woods was arrested on 28/3 on charges of driving in an impaired condition, causing property damage, and refusing to undergo mandatory testing. After approximately 8 hours in custody, he was bailed out and returned home, appearing fatigued.
Police released body camera video, documenting the events after the accident. In the footage, Woods stated he had not consumed alcohol but had taken medication earlier. Police also found two white pills in the US golf legend's pocket, identified as hydrocodone, a pain-relieving opioid.
The golfer, who has won 15 major titles, denied the charges and is scheduled to appear in court on 5/5.

According to Golfweek, on 7/4, Florida state prosecutors filed a motion seeking a warrant for Woods' prescription drug records dating from 1/1/2026. However, his lawyer, Douglas Duncan, objected, arguing that his client has privacy rights over medical information and requested the court to assess the relevance of these records to the criminal case.
The defense also requested that if the warrant is granted, a protective order would be necessary to control the use and disclosure of Woods' medical data.
Previously, prosecutors had also requested Woods' pharmacy to provide details of all prescriptions, including issuance dates, drug types, quantities, dosages, and accompanying instructions. The purpose was to determine if Woods had been warned against driving while on medication.
The incident also drew attention to Woods' personal life, particularly his long-term relationship with girlfriend Vanessa Trump. According to US media sources, the former daughter-in-law of US President Donald Trump remained by Woods' side after the scandal.
"She hasn't left him. They are very close as a family," a source told People, noting that Woods is deeply integrated into his girlfriend's family life and is particularly close with her eldest daughter, Kai. The 18-year-old is pursuing a professional golf career and has a significant social media following.
Vanessa, 48, was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018 and has 5 children.

Shortly after the arrest, Vanessa posted a photo with Woods on Instagram with the caption "love you," a move seen as a show of support. The source added that she maintains a low profile and believes "everything will blow over."
The police camera video also captured Woods stating he "just spoke to the president," alluding to his long-standing relationship with Donald Trump. In 2019, Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom. After the accident, the US President commented that Woods was under "significant physical pressure" due to chronic back and leg injuries.
