Coach Dinh Hong Vinh remained in charge for this match, as head coach Kim Sang-sik was busy with the U23 Asian Cup qualifiers in Phu Tho. Goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan started in place of Nguyen Van Viet. Compared to the match against Nam Dinh, there was only one change in the starting lineup, with Pham Xuan Manh replacing Truong Tien Anh.
In attack, Nguyen Tien Linh, Pham Tuan Hai, and Chau Ngoc Quang continued their partnership. Just two minutes into the game, a miscommunication in the CAHN defense allowed Tien Linh to steal the ball, round goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, and slot the ball into an empty net to open the scoring.
The match presented a less challenging opponent for Dinh Hong Vinh's team, as CAHN did not start any foreign players. However, they still fielded players with national team experience, including Nguyen Filip, Nguyen Quang Hai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Phan Van Duc, and Tran Dinh Trong.
After Tuan Hai doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute, CAHN narrowed the gap with a goal from striker Tran Duc Nam. The second half saw the teams exchange goals. Viet Hung scored the national team's third, followed by another goal from Van Vi. CAHN also scored twice late in the match thanks to a brace from midfielder Le Van Do.
For this training camp, coach Kim called up a squad featuring several unfamiliar players to identify new talent for the national team. As a result, all players were given the opportunity to play and showcase their abilities. These included defender Dinh Quang Kiet, who stands over 1.92 m tall, and 24-year-old forward Pham Gia Hung.
The two recent training matches were not FIFA-ranked. However, it is likely that the national team will drop in the rankings as teams below them participated in World Cup qualifiers. Vietnam's next official matches are two fixtures against Nepal in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on 9/10 and 14/10.
