Determined to secure a singles title, Hoang Nam started strong, scoring 4 points, including an impressive ATP point. However, Phuc Huynh, with his powerful play and aggressive net approaches, quickly neutralized his opponent's momentum.
After regaining the serve, Phuc Huynh scored 7 consecutive points to take a 7-4 lead. Hoang Nam called a timeout to regroup and disrupt Huynh's rhythm. Despite this, Huynh continued to dominate, showcasing superior skills. He limited his opponent's opportunities with agile movement and court coverage, winning the first set 11-5 after a skillful drop shot.
In the second set, Phuc Huynh maintained his dominance, scoring 5 consecutive points to lead 6-1, then 7-1. Hoang Nam called another timeout to regain composure and adjust his strategy. However, these adjustments proved ineffective against Huynh's relentless attacks. He ultimately lost the second set 1-11.

This was the first time the PPA Asia Tour 2025 was held in Vietnam, attracting both amateur and professional players during three weeks of online registration. The prize for the singles champion was 1,800 USD, and 3,000 USD for the doubles. The points system remained unchanged: 1,000 points for the champion, 800 for the runner-up, and decreasing to 100 points, equivalent to 150 USD in prize money, for reaching the 1/6 round of the Main Draw.
This was also the first PPA Asia event held outdoors, unlike previous tournaments in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan. The organizers ensured the courts met PPA Asia's standards. The tournament will return to Vietnam in the future, with Da Nang as the next host city.
