A 16-seat passenger van was hit by a tractor-trailer while traveling on the Mai Son - National Highway 45, resulting in four deaths and six injuries, on the morning of January 14.
The Vietnam Road Administration will begin collecting tolls for five state-invested expressway projects from late February, including: Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay.
Experts believe that resolving material supply issues, streamlining policy mechanisms, and innovating construction organization will accelerate expressway projects, enabling the completion of 3,000 km by 2025.
The expressway connecting Quang Tri with Hue City will be expanded from two to four lanes, with a total investment of over 6,000 billion dong from the state budget, aimed at improving traffic capacity and reducing accidents.
