Toll collection begins on 5 North-South expressway sections through the Central region from 15/7

Five North-South expressway sections in the North Central region, including: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh, and Van Ninh - Cam Lo, will begin toll collection from 8h on 15/7.

The five North-South expressway sections, part of phase two (2021-2025) and totaling 256 km from Bai Vot (Ha Tinh) to Cam Lo (Quang Tri), were state-funded. These expressways feature 4 lanes, intermittent emergency stopping lanes, and are equipped with intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and vehicle weight control.

A toll rate of 900 VND/km applies to standard vehicles on these expressway sections. The fee is calculated based on the actual distance traveled by the vehicle and is collected entirely through electronic toll collection (ETC).

To ensure efficient toll collection, the Vietnam Road Administration urges vehicle owners to: affix ETC tags, maintain sufficient balances in their payment accounts, comply with road signaling systems and official guidance, and adhere to vehicle weight regulations.

In addition to the five aforementioned sections, the Vietnam Road Administration will also begin collecting tolls on the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh - Van Phong, and Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway sections from 15/8. Toll collection will also commence on two component projects from Can Tho to Ca Mau from 15/9.
