Hanoi's cultural and art events for National Day

From 11/8 to 17/8, Hanoi will host various cultural, art, exhibition, and fair activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

These activities are listed on the official A80 event website of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and the Hanoi People's Committee.

"Hanoi - From the historical autumn of 1945" program:

Time: 8 PM, 15/8

Location: August Revolution Square, Cua Nam ward, Hanoi.

This program recreates the historical autumn of 1945 when Hanoi was the center of changes that shaped the nation's destiny. It combines artistic performances with cultural and historical elements, using modern technology for a profound experience. This is an open event, free for public attendance and will be broadcast live on VTV1.

"Proud to be Vietnamese" program:

Time: 8 PM, 17/8

Location: My Dinh Stadium Square

The program is divided into three parts: Roots - Calling Vietnam's Name, One Vietnam - A Million Hearts, and Proud to be Vietnamese. The stage design, inspired by the Lang Lieu legend, combines the images of sky and earth, creating a symphony of origins and aspirations through music, sound, light, and 3D mapping technology. Participating artists include Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Anh Tu, Duong Hoang Yen, Lam Bao Ngoc, Pham Thu Ha, Le Anh Dung, Ha An Huy, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Oplus Group, Duong Tran Nghia, and the Buc Tuong band. The program will be broadcast live on VTV1, nationwide, and livestreamed on multiple platforms. Free tickets are available. Register and collect tickets from 8 AM to 5 PM on 15/8 at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.

"The Eternal Echo of the Nation" art program:

Time: Evening of 16/8

Location: Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho ward, Hanoi

Hydraulic drone show, light, and visual art:

Light show: Weekends from 15/8 to 31/8 at several historical sites and pedestrian areas around Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounding areas (Hanoi Opera House, Turtle Tower - Hoan Kiem Lake, 48 Hang Ngang historical relic site, Dong Xuan Market, and Dien Hong Flower Garden).

Hydraulic drone show: Weekends from 9/8 to 30/8 at West Lake.

Visual art performances: Weekends from 8/8 to 3/9 at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, 19 Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh ward.

Hanoi Souvenir and Gift Fair 2025:

Time: 14/8 to 17/8, open from 9 AM to 10 PM

Location: Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, 19 Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh ward

Covering nearly 5,000 m2, the fair features exhibition spaces showcasing typical products, OCOP products, traditional crafts, cultural and tourism introductions, cuisine, product demonstrations and experiences, trade connections, miniature landscapes, and models.

"Autumn of Independence and Aspiration for Prosperity" exhibition:

Time: 12/8 to 18/9

Location: National Library, 31 Trang Thi Street, Cua Nam ward

The exhibition displays 800 documents and 80 photos, offering the public realistic, vivid, and diverse perspectives on events, figures, and memorable moments in the country's significant historical periods.

In addition, Hanoi is also organizing various art programs and film screenings for the public and installing LED screens for people to follow the commemorative activities.
