A UNESCO-recognized World Heritage site, Hoi An was once again voted Vietnam's most hospitable city for the third consecutive year. With its well-preserved ancient architecture, colorful lantern-lit streets, and cultural fusion, the city consistently leaves a deep impression on visitors. Following Hoi An on the list are Mai Chau, Cu Lao Thu (Phu Quy island), Ninh Binh, Ha Giang, Con Dao, Phong Nha, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, and Cao Bang.
Branavan Aruljothi, Country Director for Booking.com in Vietnam, stated that a destination is defined not only by its natural landscapes or cultural heritage but also by the sincerity of its people. It is the individuals preserving the ancient homes in Hoi An and the welcoming local communities in Ha Giang and Mai Chau that create memorable experiences for international travelers, even after their trips conclude.

"The Traveller Review Awards are our way of recognizing the heroes in the travel service industry, and also our tribute to millions of travelers worldwide", Aruljothi added. The Traveller Review Awards list is based on over 370 million global traveler reviews and ratings. Beyond destinations, the awards also honor accommodation providers and travel service companies across 220 countries and territories. In Vietnam, over 13,052 accommodation establishments received a Traveller Review Award, underscoring the Vietnamese tourism industry's growing strength and consistent quality in enhancing traveler experiences. Among Vietnam's friendly accommodation options, traditional hotels remained the most highly rated type by travelers, with over 5,000 properties honored. Apartments ranked second, followed by homestays, aparthotels, and villas. This year's accommodation type ratings reflect a clear trend of travelers seeking unique and distinctive lodging experiences. Globally, apartments were the most voted-for accommodation type, followed by vacation homes and traditional hotels. This trend indicates international travelers' growing interest in sustainable tourism and a preference for unique accommodations that clearly reflect regional identity. Phuong Anh |
