During this period, international visitor numbers to Phu Quoc accounted for 94,3% of the total international visitors for the entire province. In the same period in 2025, the special administrative region recorded 74,833 international visitors.
The significant increase in visitors led to Phu Quoc Airport consistently achieving impressive figures. On the 27th day of Tet (14/2), the airport handled 50 international flights in one day, serving over 18,000 passengers—its highest level since operations began. By 18/2 (the 2nd day of Tet), the airport recorded 93 incoming flights, including 47 domestic and 46 international flights. The total passenger volume for that day reached nearly 31,000.
Cumulatively, from the 27th of the twelfth lunar month to the third day of Tet, the airport served 502 flights with 166,217 passengers, of whom international visitors accounted for 60%.
Across An Giang province, over the nine-day Tet holiday, the province welcomed over 1,7 million tourists, a 37,3% increase compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated to have reached over 2,622 billion VND, an increase of 39%.

Experts note that the high number of tourists during Tet Binh Ngo reflects a qualitative transformation in service quality on Pearl Island. Phu Quoc is continually adding new tourism products, ranging from shows to entertainment complexes and festival experiences, making the destination increasingly attractive and worth revisiting each year.

For instance, Hoang Hon Town offers a rich variety of experiences, including a series of shows such as "Symphony of the Ocean" and "Kiss of the Sea", along with two consecutive fireworks displays each night, creating new experiences for visitors. This year, the number of visitors to these two shows doubled compared to the same period during the 2025 Lunar New Year.

The festive atmosphere permeated Vietnamese Tet spaces, complete with spring flower markets, lion and dragon dances, and calligraphy gift-giving—cultural touchpoints that consistently attract Western visitors. Crowds flocked to the streets and night markets, bustling to explore food stalls and seaside shopping, bringing continuous vitality day and night.
The Hon Thom Cable Car system continued to see a surge in visitors during the Tet holiday, with transport volume equaling 109% of the previous year's same period. Each day, long lines of people queued to embark on the nearly 8 km sea-crossing journey on the world's longest three-rope cable car.

According to a representative from Sun Group, the satisfaction of international visitors from major markets such as South Korea, Taiwan, and Europe contributes to establishing Pearl Island's position on the global tourism map. From there, Phu Quoc aims to be a dynamic and safe international destination.
