National flag route winding through rice terraces draws visitors

A route lined with national flags along the rice terraces in Suoi Lin village, Van Ho commune (Moc Chau) creates a picturesque scene, attracting many tourists to visit and take photos during the 2/9 holiday.

The more than 1 km flag-lined route, winding along the more than 23 ha of rice terraces in Lin Ho village, was photographed on 17/8 by Quang Kien, 30, who lives in Moc Chau.

"I come here every year for the golden rice season, but this is the first time I've seen the roadsides decorated with national flags. I want to share this image with more tourists," Kien said about the flag route, which was created by the Suoi Lin Management Board in collaboration with the youth union at the beginning of August.

With its vibrant red against the lush green rice paddies, surrounded by rolling mountains and hills, the flag route has quickly become a must-visit check-in spot for tourists.

The 10,000 VND entrance fee per person will be used to maintain the general landscape, including replacing flags, cleaning, and building rest stops for visitors.

According to Kien, the Suoi Lin rice fields are a favorite destination for tourists who enjoy exploring and immersing themselves in nature. Because it hasn't been heavily developed for tourism, the area retains its pristine beauty, free from overcrowding and noisy services. This is why Suoi Lin holds a special appeal for those who love experiential travel.

Nguyen Ha Phuong, 28, from Moc Chau, shared that the moment she stood amidst the flag-lined path, gazing out at the vast mountains and rice fields, she felt both moved and proud.

"I will recommend this place to friends and family for photos during the holiday," Phuong said.

The ideal time to check in at the national flag route is in the morning, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tourists who arrive too early will encounter thick fog obstructing the view, while the sun sets quickly in the late afternoon, making it difficult to capture beautiful moments.

Situated amidst valleys, the rice terraces in Lin Ho have a gentler slope compared to higher mountainous regions like Hoang Su Phi or Mu Cang Chai. The adjacent rice paddies make it easy for visitors to explore and take photos.

The rice is now starting to ripen, and locals are harvesting in some areas. In addition to checking in on the flag route, tourists can venture deeper into the rice paddies to capture more impressive photos.

Lin Ho is about 20 km from the center of Moc Chau, with convenient access. Tourists can take a bus from Hanoi to Moc Chau, then rent a motorbike to continue their journey. Besides checking in on the national flag route and admiring the lush green rice paddies, tourists also have the opportunity to hunt for clouds on days with good weather.

Quang Kien suggests renting a homestay near Lin Ho village for accommodation, making it convenient to take photos early the next morning. Additionally, tourists can combine their visit with exploring the Dao ethnic minority village and enjoying the local cuisine.
