Quy Nhon boosts tourism connections with the Australian market

Australian tourism businesses surveyed various destinations in Quy Nhon to explore cooperation opportunities, expand international tours, and connect with local enterprises.

On 28/5, the Gia Lai Tourism Association, in coordination with the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized a program in Quy Nhon to introduce and connect Quy Nhon tourism with the Australian market. This event took place amid strong growth in Australian visitors to the region. Notably, Lonely Planet also voted Quy Nhon as one of the top 25 global destinations for 2026.

Harry Tran, Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Association in Sydney, described Quy Nhon as a rough diamond. He noted that while Australian seas are cold and harsh, Quy Nhon offers warm, clear, and not overly crowded waters. Coupled with its marine resources, cultural depth, and historical relics, Quy Nhon presents an appealing destination that Australian tourists are willing to pay to experience.

Zlatiya Savic, an Australian tourism business owner specializing in health and wellness, praised Quy Nhon's beautiful sea, fresh air, and delicious cuisine. She highlighted these elements as an ideal foundation for developing health and wellness tourism products, a segment currently experiencing strong growth in the international market.

Nguyen Pham Kien Trung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Tourism Association, affirmed that Quy Nhon's tourism potential meets the demands of Australian visitors. This was evident from the positive feedback received during the Australian famtrip delegation's two-day visit on 26-27/5. Another advantage in attracting visitors from Australia is coffee, particularly along the Quy Nhon - Pleiku route, which showcases both vast mountains and the blue sea.

Earlier, the Australian famtrip delegation visited several key attractions: Banh It Tower, Nuoc Man Port—the birthplace of the Quoc Ngu script, Nhon Hai fishing village, and Hon Kho Island. They also experienced making Phu Gia conical hats and watched Binh Dinh traditional martial arts performances.
