After a two-year hiatus from travel to focus on childcare, my husband and I are planning an international trip to South Korea or China after Lunar New Year. As this will be our family's first time taking our one-year-old abroad, I have many questions about the trip's feasibility.
Our primary concerns revolve around the visa application process and other necessary documents for a young child, wondering if they are more complicated than usual. For the itinerary, we are concerned that traveling by subway, bus, or waiting in airport queues could be overwhelming for an active child who requires a consistent routine. We are also debating whether to opt for an all-inclusive tour to minimize effort or travel independently for more flexibility in managing our child's rest periods.

Regarding our travel plans, friends have advised us to either wait a few more years until our child is older or to leave our child with grandparents. Many echoed the sentiment, "Wait until your child is older so the whole family can enjoy the trip together." I am eager to receive advice from families who have traveled internationally with young children on how to organize an effective and comfortable journey.
