Three Vietnamese cable car routes ranked among Asia's most beautiful

A US travel magazine has unveiled a list of the 11 most spectacular cable car experiences in Asia, with Vietnam being the only country to feature three locations.

Travel + Leisure magazine published its list of Asia's 11 most spectacular cable car systems on 4/3. These systems were chosen based on their unique natural scenery, complex engineering, and ability to offer visitors panoramic views from above.

Among the 11 representatives, Vietnam stands out with three cable car systems located in three key tourist centers. The first is the Hon Thom cable car in Phu Quoc, which holds a Guinness World Record for the longest three-wire sea-crossing cable car, stretching nearly 8 km.

The US magazine lauded its ability to provide detailed views of the marine ecosystem from its cabins, including coral reefs, coastal fishing villages, and the An Thoi archipelago during the approximately 15-minute journey.

The second featured system is the Ba Na Hills cable car in Da Nang. This system is recognized for directly connecting the lowlands to the summit of Chua Mountain, nearly 1,500 m high. The route impresses with its primeval forest scenery along its more than 5 km length.

The third location is the Vinpearl cable car in Nha Trang. It offers panoramic views of Nha Trang Bay and links the mainland with offshore tourist islands.

In Hong Kong, the Ngong Ping 360 system stands out with its glass-bottom cabins, offering transparent views down to the Lantau Island geopark. Malaysia features the Langkawi SkyCab, designed to traverse ancient rock formations over 550 million years old. Other entries, such as the Singapore Cable Car and the Namsan Cable Car in South Korea, offer sweeping views of modern cities and bustling port systems.
