In early August, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism JSC met with Tay Ninh province's People's Committee (UBND) to discuss a proposed 1,200-hectare multi-functional complex in the Hau Nghia area. The complex would comprise four main zones: smart infrastructure, a 4.0 industrial park, a cultural tourism area, and a smart urban area.
Suoi Tien, known for its Suoi Tien theme park in TP HCM, operates in tourism, entertainment, and real estate. The UBND welcomed the proposal, seeing it as an opportunity to develop cultural tourism and attract more visitors to the province.
Previously, the province announced plans to auction over 300,000 square meters of land atop nui Ba Den for a resort project with a total investment of approximately 5,300 billion VND.
The land is part of a key tourism project prioritized for investment. The "Themed sightseeing and resort area on nui Ba Den" project covers nearly 70 hectares and is crucial to the Nui Ba Den National Tourist Area development plan through 2030. The project aims to capitalize on the mountain's year-round mild climate, unique landscape, and spiritual significance.

At nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, nui Ba Den is Tay Ninh's tourism flagship and a spiritual symbol for southern Vietnam. The summit houses a complex of temples, Buddha statues, and other large religious structures. In the first 7 months of the year, Tay Ninh province attracted 5.1 million visitors, 80% of whom visited nui Ba Den. Continued development at this site is considered essential for boosting the tourism sector and building the province's tourism brand.
According to a Tay Ninh tourism representative, the recent merger has created a larger tourism area, combining the strengths and resources of the former Long An and Tay Ninh provinces. This new province can now develop spiritual and cultural tourism alongside ecological tourism, entertainment, and sports. This diversity offers visitors more choices, encouraging longer stays and increased spending.
The new province boasts 223 historical sites and 14 intangible cultural heritages, including the Chhay-dam drum dance, the lat mat weaving craft, vegetarian cuisine, and the Via Ba Linh Son Thanh Mau festival at nui Ba Den. Tay Ninh also features the lush forests of Lo Go - Xa Mat, the scenic Ma Thien Lanh and Dau Tieng lakes, the culture of the Dong Thap Muoi region, and the historic Vam Co Dong River.
Sports tourism is also growing. The province has hosted several marathons in Vinh Hung, Can Giuoc, and other areas. Most recently, the international marathon at nui Ba Den on 3/8 attracted 6,000 domestic and international athletes. International golf tournaments also draw foreign athletes, who compete and experience the local culture.
To promote its brand and retain visitors, Tay Ninh is reviewing tourism activities in the two former provinces. Based on existing tourism routes, the province will plan and build new destinations with diverse activities, creating a seamless corridor that integrates tourism with accommodation, dining, and shopping.
Attracting tourism investment, developing connecting infrastructure, and building digital applications for bookings, tickets, travel guides, and multilingual support are also future priorities.
