The founder and chef of The Home Pizza grew up in a family where meals were central to bonding. This upbringing instilled in them a deep appreciation for simple dishes, regional specialties, and the belief that every flavor tells a story of its people, land, and culture. These formative memories ultimately shaped the restaurant's unique direction.

"Italians are proud to have created pizza. Americans transformed it into a pop culture icon. Japan and South Korea have also developed versions with distinct local cultural imprints," the chef stated. "This made me wonder: with Vietnam's rich treasury of specialties and culinary culture, why doesn't it have a pizza with its own unique identity?"
From this inquiry, The Home Pizza was established with a vision beyond simply serving pizza. It uses the pizza crust as a medium to bring Vietnamese specialties, memories, and culture closer to diners.
As the chef-owner, the founder is directly involved in researching and developing each dish. For him, a new pizza begins not with ingredients, but with a specific region.

This approach might involve a trip to Phu Quoc to understand why herring salad is a unique dish of the "pearl island" (Phu Quoc). Or days spent exploring the Northwest highlands, learning about the H'Mong duck breed and how local people have preserved its flavors through generations, adapting to natural conditions and traditional practices.
"Every dish starts with a true story," the chef explained. "We don't create flavors just for the sake of being different; we aim to retain the spirit of the land that inspired the dish." This philosophy is evident in every pizza offered.
The Phu Quoc herring salad pizza, inspired by the island's renowned salad, exemplifies this. From the sweetness of fresh herring and the aroma of shredded coconut to the authentic Phu Quoc fish sauce, each ingredient evokes the marine culture and rhythm of local life, reinterpreted on a pizza crust through a new culinary language.
Similarly, the H'Mong duck pizza draws inspiration from the H'Mong duck salad of the Northwest mountains. From the fragrant local herbs and the nutty flavor of roasted rice powder to the unique combination of ingredients, the restaurant conveys the essence of the dish, telling a story of highland culinary culture on a pizza.
In addition to its culinary offerings, The Home Pizza regularly hosts cultural experiences, featuring performances such as Hat Boi (Vietnamese classical opera), traditional instrumental music, and other traditional art events. These programs are integral to the immersive journey the brand aims to provide.

"When diners enjoy a pizza inspired by Vietnamese specialties amidst the sounds of a zither or flute, or in front of the colorful costumes and makeup of Hat Boi art, they are not just having a meal," the restaurant owner explained. "They are experiencing a slice of Vietnamese culture through multiple senses."
This consistency extends to the brand's restaurant design, its menu development featuring Vietnamese-inspired ingredients, and the storytelling behind each dish. This approach helps diners understand the recipes and connect with a part of a region's history. "I believe a brand truly has an identity only when every touchpoint tells the same story," stated The Home Pizza's founder.

In an increasingly globalized culinary landscape, many brands seek differentiation through new trends or rare ingredients. The Home Pizza, however, has chosen the opposite path: returning to the familiar values of Vietnamese culture. Today, it might be the story of Phu Quoc; tomorrow, the Northwest mountains; another season, the memories of the Central region or the Mekong Delta. "This journey will continue to expand as more regional specialties and stories are brought to the pizza crust," the chef emphasized.
