For runners arriving in Hue on the morning of friday, 17/4, an early visit to the Expo area at Nghinh Luong Dinh - Phu Van Lau for bib pickup is recommended. This allows time for engaging in activities, exploring vendor booths, and avoiding late-day crowds. Following registration, enjoy a flavorful local lunch with specialties like com hen, nem lui, or various traditional cakes such as banh beo, banh nam, and loc. The Imperial City (Dai Noi) offers an ideal start to an afternoon of exploration. Here, visitors can admire Ngo Mon, Dien Thai Hoa, and The Mieu, gaining a sense of the ancient capital's rich history. On friday evening, runners should opt for a light, carbohydrate-rich meal to begin energy storage for the race.

On saturday, maintain a moderate activity level to conserve energy for race day. A light breakfast, such as banh uot thit nuong or hot xoi, will provide sufficient energy for a morning walk. Runners can visit Thien Mu Pagoda to admire Phuoc Duyen Tower or explore traditional garden houses, which showcase the elegant lifestyle of the ancient capital's residents.
Bun bo Hue makes an ideal midday meal. However, runners should request less spice and fat to avoid discomfort before the race. On saturday afternoon, visit Dong Ba Market for souvenirs or relax by the Perfume River. Conclude dinner early with easily digestible options like white rice, chicken, or a light noodle soup, then return to rest and prepare for the race on sunday morning.

Early sunday morning, runners embark on the VnExpress Marathon. Starting from Le Duan street, the course encircles the Imperial City, passes Quoc Hoc school, crosses Truong Tien bridge, and offers a beautiful sunrise over the Perfume River.
After finishing and receiving medals, runners should prioritize rest and electrolyte replenishment. If time permits before departing the ancient capital, visit the majestic tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors. Conclude this meaningful journey with a hot bowl of banh canh Nam Pho or a refreshing cup of che cung dinh.
This three-day itinerary allows every runner to fully experience the blend of sport and culture in Hue. Late phase bibs are currently available for registration.
