Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches direct flights to Hong Kong

Sun Group's airline begins selling round-trip tickets for Phu Quoc - Hong Kong (China) flights, with prices starting from 3,6 million dong, and inaugurates a lounge at Phu Quoc airport.

Tickets went on sale from 2/4. The route is scheduled to launch on 22/5, operating five flights each week. A representative for the airline stated this frequency allows passengers and tour operators to plan itineraries, suiting the trend for short, flexible trips.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways also partnered with OpenSky as its general agent in Hong Kong to expand market access and attract international travelers. This new route, combined with a 30-day visa exemption policy and Phu Quoc's entertainment and resort ecosystem, helps draw more tourists to the island.

An airline representative mentioned the gradual expansion of its flight network to Northeast Asia. Hong Kong (China) is the third international destination, following Taipei (Taiwan, China) which saw its first flight on 29/3, and Incheon (Seoul, South Korea), scheduled to launch on 17/4.

Concurrently with the announcement of its expanded network to Hong Kong, on 1/4, the airline also opened the Sun Executive Lounge Phu Quoc. Following Noi Bai, this is the next lounge launched by the airline to complete its luxury experience system at key airport gateways.

Architect Bill Bensley designed the space, drawing inspiration from 1920s "aviation academies". The lounge recreates early aviation through its mezzanine structure, high vaulted ceilings, and details like propeller plane models, technical drawings, and pilot portraits.

Beyond the architecture, the dining area combines Vietnamese and international cuisine. Vietnamese dishes such as pho, bun moc, and bun cha are prepared under the curation of People's Artisan Anh Tuyet. The lounge also features international food brands like Eric Kayser from Paris, Delingoo - Capella 100% Arabica coffee, and TWG tea.

An airline representative hopes the Sun Executive Lounge will transform waiting time into an integral part of the journey, offering passengers a space to relax, explore, and enjoy a harmonized aesthetic and service experience.

The simultaneous expansion of international routes and enhancement of ground services is a step to complete Sun Group's aviation and tourism ecosystem, helping Phu Quoc become an international destination.
