Top 10 domestic and international destinations Vietnamese travelers searched for during the 2/9 holiday

Hanoi, Da Nang, and Da Lat lead domestic searches for the 2/9 holiday, while Bangkok, Singapore, and Seoul top the international list.

As summer winds down, Vietnamese travelers' wanderlust remains strong, especially with the upcoming National Day holiday on 2/9. This is the last long holiday of the year, resulting in a surge in bookings and tours, with 41% of Vietnamese travelers expressing interest in trips.

On 12/8, Booking.com, the Netherlands-based online travel platform, released its list of the top 10 domestic and international destinations searched by Vietnamese travelers for this holiday, particularly between 29/8 and 3/9.

This year, Hanoi attracted domestic and international tourists with the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80) celebrations, becoming the most searched destination, jumping six spots compared to last year. Over 31% of searches selected Hanoi as their destination.

Da Nang, known as "Vietnam's most livable city," comes in second, famed for its cuisine, Michelin-recommended restaurants, and beautiful beaches. Da Lat, the top destination for the 2/9 holiday last year, now ranks third. With 56% of Vietnamese tourists planning nature-focused trips this year, Da Lat is a perfect choice with its cool climate and diverse outdoor activities.
