On 13/9, the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board reported two incidents involving tourists on the Cot Dien climbing route amid heavy rain.
Around 8:30h, a 23-year-old tourist from TP HCM fell near pillar 97 on the Cot Dien route up Ba Den Mountain. The fall resulted in a broken arm, rendering him unable to move. Rescue teams and medical personnel provided onsite first aid, stabilizing the injury before transferring him to a hospital for emergency treatment.
Earlier, a 27-year-old male tourist from Tay Ninh also slipped on the Cot Dien route, hitting a bamboo stalk and tearing his arm. Medical staff controlled the bleeding, applied a pressure bandage, gave him pain medication, and directed him to a medical facility for stitches.
A representative of the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area stated that heavy rain over the weekend made the paths wet and slippery, impacting climbing activities.
The management board advises tourists to monitor weather conditions before climbing. Participants should take safety precautions: declare information at the security checkpoint before starting, note the rescue hotline number for emergencies, and prepare suitable climbing gear, a personal first aid kit, water, and medication.
Tourists should avoid unmarked, overgrown trails, stick to designated routes, and ideally travel in groups of two or more for mutual support in emergencies.

Ba Den Mountain, standing at 986 meters, is the tallest peak in the Southern region, drawing many trekkers on weekends.
In 10/2025, trekking activities were temporarily halted due to Typhoon Bualoi, which caused landslides and slippery conditions. They resumed on 12/12/2025 with new regulations.
Currently, tourists can only use the Cot Dien route and the foot-of-the-mountain - Ba Pagoda route. Personal information must be registered at the security checkpoint before starting, between 5h and 11h.
