According to Booking.com's assessment, Vietnamese traveler searches increased significantly compared to the previous year. This interest largely focused on resort areas and cities with cool climates, providing ideal settings for families to gather, relax, and recharge.
Following the Tet holiday, Vietnamese travelers often embark on cultural and spiritual journeys. Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and TP HCM led the list of most searched destinations for this period. Localities known for traditional festivals, such as Nha Trang, Da Lat, Ha Noi, and Vung Tau, also garnered considerable traveler interest.
Beyond the top 10, the former Tien Xuan commune, now part of Yen Xuan and Hoa Lac communes in Ha Noi (after merger), where the Tay Phuong Pagoda Festival is held, recorded impressive growth. It rose 412 ranks to 24th place, reflecting strong traveler interest in traditional festivals at the beginning of the year.
The extended holiday period contributed to Japan becoming the most attractive international market for Vietnamese travelers. After Tokyo, which ranked 2nd in search lists, cities like Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka also received significant interest from travelers during Tet. Destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok continued to see high search volumes.
