Hossein Kermanpour, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health, recounted on 25/5 that following the United States-Israel attack on 28/2, Mojtaba Khamenei was admitted to the hospital in the early afternoon and transferred to an operating room along with other injured individuals.
“Beyond minor injuries to his face, head, and legs, which did not result in amputation or any serious medical issues, there was nothing concerning,” Kermanpour stated regarding the Iranian Supreme Leader's condition.
The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health added that, based on professional assessment, such injuries “are not considered serious and do not require special medical procedures,” apart from a few stitches. After several days of treatment, Mojtaba was discharged from the hospital in the early morning of 1/3.

According to Kermanpour, Supreme Leader Mojtaba continued to observe fasting rules during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, indicating his good health.
Mojtaba Khamenei was injured on 28/2 during an airstrike that initiated a United States-Israel operation. The Iranian leader has not appeared publicly since assuming office; his written statements are read on state television. The Supreme Leader's absence fueled speculation about his health and actual role within Iran's new power structure.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on 7/5 that he met with Mojtaba, and the meeting lasted two and a half hours. Mazaher Hosseini, head of protocol for the Office of the Supreme Leader of Iran, later confirmed that Khamenei had fully recovered, although he is not yet able to appear publicly.
Two days later, Iranian state television reported that General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command, met with the Supreme Leader to receive “new directives and guidance to continue operations against enemies.”
CNN, citing unnamed United States officials, reported that the country's intelligence community has not yet been able to determine his location. One reason is that leader Khamenei does not use electronic devices for communication, only interacts directly with authorized individuals, and sends messages through assistants.
CBS, citing United States official sources on 25/5, noted that the Iranian Supreme Leader's hidden whereabouts and minimal external communication are prolonging negotiations.
