DR, Denmark's national broadcaster, released survey results on 3/2 indicating that 60% of respondents consider the United States an "adversary". Only 17% viewed the US as an "ally" in the current situation, while 20% were unsure and 3% declined to answer.
The poll, conducted by analysis firm Epinion for DR, surveyed 1,053 Danes over 18 years old from 21-28/1.

The escalating tensions between the US and Denmark over Greenland have prompted public outcry. Earlier this month, thousands of Danes marched from central Copenhagen to the US embassy, protesting President Donald Trump's demands to control the island.
Last weekend, thousands more Danes participated in a silent march to the US embassy in Copenhagen. The Danish Veterans Association organized this demonstration after Trump's comments downplaying the role of non-US NATO troops, including Danish service members, in Afghanistan.
Trump has repeatedly asserted that the US must control Greenland, an autonomous island territory of Denmark. He argues that the US has invested hundreds of billions of USD in the "Vom Vang" defense system, which could only achieve maximum effectiveness if Greenland were integrated into the US network.
The US ambition to control Greenland is weakening transatlantic relations. It also prompts European nations to accelerate efforts to reduce dependence on Washington, despite Trump withdrawing tariff threats and ruling out the use of force to control the island.
