Palm Beach international airport in Palm Beach County, Florida, was renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport on 9/7. This action followed an executive order signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in March, after state lawmakers approved it.
Eric Trump, son of President Trump, celebrated the event by landing at the airport in the family's Boeing 757. "It's a great day. I don't think anyone is more connected to Palm Beach, or perhaps the entire state of Florida, than President Donald Trump," Eric Trump said.

Eric also stated that the main thoroughfare from the airport is now called President Donald Trump Boulevard. "From now on, anyone coming to Palm Beach will have a ticket where you will see the DJT abbreviation, which will be there forever," he said.
Visitors to the airport had mixed opinions about the renaming. Pilot Chris Bailey welcomed the move, stating that Trump "has certainly done enough, deserving an airport named after him."
Others opposed the decision, including doctor John Manov. "Palm Beach is a better brand. Many people truly dislike the name Donald Trump. This seems insensitive," John Manov said.
Eric Trump maintained that renaming the airport was not wrong, adding that "anything with our name on it tends to be controversial." When asked about President Trump's feelings on the move, Eric Trump said his father felt "honored and humbled."
Several airports in the US are named after presidents, including John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. However, the renaming of the Florida airport makes Trump the first US president to have an airport named after him while in office.

Additionally, US officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, attended the dedication ceremony for the President Donald J. Trump Bridge in Tennessee on 9/7.
"The state's license plates previously featured the slogan 'follow me to Tennessee'. Now, when following these cars, people will cross the Donald J. Trump Bridge on I-40," Bessent said.
Many structures, organizations, government programs, new classes of warships, and even currency have been named after Trump, including the Donald J. Trump US Institute of Peace. The Kennedy Center for the Arts was also named after Trump before it had to be removed following a federal appeals court ruling on 11/6.
