The NY Post reported on 2/6, citing an announcement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), that a "customer disturbance" occurred last weekend on Frontier Airlines flight 3345. The flight was en route from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
According to CBS, the passenger, 51-year-old Juan Reyes, attempted to open an emergency exit, demanded to jump from the plane mid-air, and rushed the cockpit. Crew members and nearby passengers intervened to restrain him.

An off-duty flight attendant volunteered to sit with Reyes to keep him calm. However, when she stood up to use the restroom, Reyes lunged for her bag and choked her.
Josh Longood, a former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, then subdued Reyes and secured him with zip ties.
The chaotic incident forced the flight to divert and make an emergency landing in Miami. Upon landing, Miami-Dade police arrested Juan Reyes. Frontier Airlines confirmed the incident, stating, "Law enforcement boarded the aircraft in Miami and removed the passenger. The flight then continued to Chicago several hours later."
