President Donald Trump on 17/6 entered a session at the G7 summit with other leaders already seated in the conference room in the resort town of Evian-les-Bains, France.
Realizing his tardiness, Trump walked to the center of the room, stopped, and said, "Hello, I'm the boss". The joke made many in the room laugh.
French President Emmanuel Macron, the host leader, also seemed to receive the joke from his US counterpart cheerfully. "How are you?", Macron stood up and asked.
"All good, thank you", Trump replied before shaking Macron's hand and taking his seat.

Before entering the meeting, President Trump also joked with reporters, who were only allowed in the room for the first few minutes. "Do you want to stay for the meeting? I'm fine either way", he said. However, reporters were later asked to leave.
President Trump garnered attention at this year's G7 summit as the event took place shortly after his 80th birthday and the US had just reached a preliminary peace agreement with Iran.
G7 leaders welcomed the agreement and declared their readiness to contribute to its implementation. They stated they would strive to diversify energy supply routes to reduce reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran had blockaded for much of the conflict with the US, while increasing reserves.
French officials would also be pleased that President Trump remained at the summit until its conclusion and signed the G7 joint statement, unlike last year's meeting in Canada, where he departed immediately after the first day of meetings.
In a rare move, President Macron invited President Trump to a dinner at the Palace of Versailles on the outskirts of Paris after the G7 summit concluded this afternoon.
Macron, under pressure to show he was not overly deferential to the US President, stated that the dinner at Versailles would not be a lavish "gala".
