Ukraine's national railway operator today posted a video of British Prince Harry stepping off a train upon arrival in the capital Kyiv, where he was greeted. Ukraine's Anti-Disinformation Center later confirmed Harry's presence in Kyiv for an "unannounced visit".
British broadcaster ITV, which accompanied Prince Harry, quoted him as stating the visit aimed to "remind people at home and around the world what Ukraine is facing".
Harry is expected to visit the Halo Trust, a mine clearance charity previously supported by his mother, Princess Diana.
Harry has previously demonstrated his support for Ukraine through various activities. In April 2025, he visited the Superhumans Center clinic in Lviv, western Ukraine, which treats wounded soldiers, civilians, and children. This visit was only publicized after Harry had departed Ukraine.
In November of the same year, Harry returned to Ukraine with staff from the Invictus Games charity fund to support wounded soldiers. This marked his first trip to Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California, US, with his wife and children. Since departing the UK, the couple has openly criticized the royal family in documentaries, memoirs, and a high-profile interview with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Harry maintains minimal contact with his father and brother, Prince William.
