President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hae Kyung enjoyed a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake this evening. This was one of the sideline activities during their state visit to Vietnam from 21-24/4, at the invitation of General Secretary, President To Lam and the first lady.
This marks President Lee Jae Myung's inaugural visit to Vietnam since assuming office in 6/2025.

Before their walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, the South Korean president and first lady savored pho on Dinh Liet street.
President Lee Jae Myung, born in 1964, began his career as a lawyer and entered politics in 2005. He previously served as mayor of Seongnam and governor of Gyeonggi before becoming chairman of the Democratic Party from 2022-2025.

Earlier, President Lee Jae Myung held meetings with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. He also joined Prime Minister Le Minh Hung at a roundtable discussion focused on economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Vu Ho, President Lee Jae Myung becoming the first state guest to visit Vietnam during this period holds significant political and symbolic meaning. It demonstrates South Korea's high regard for Vietnam and reflects the strategic trust and priority in bilateral relations.
