President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hae Kyung enjoyed a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake this evening. This was one of the sideline activities during their state visit to Vietnam from 21-24/4, at the invitation of General Secretary, President To Lam and the first lady.

This marks President Lee Jae Myung's inaugural visit to Vietnam since assuming office in 6/2025.

Earlier, President Lee Jae Myung held meetings with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. He also joined Prime Minister Le Minh Hung at a roundtable discussion focused on economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.

President Lee Jae Myung's visit follows Vietnam's recent consolidation of its senior leadership after the Party's 14th National Congress.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Vu Ho, President Lee Jae Myung becoming the first state guest to visit Vietnam during this period holds significant political and symbolic meaning. It demonstrates South Korea's high regard for Vietnam and reflects the strategic trust and priority in bilateral relations.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on the same day, President Lee Jae Myung stated that both countries have favorable conditions to shape a new strategic vision for cooperation, fostering opportunities for shared development and moving towards a sustainable, common prosperous future.
