AccuWeather's 8/10 forecast revealed three hurricanes advancing towards the US, with hurricane Rachel having unexpectedly reversed its path in the Pacific. "It's unbelievable, three hurricanes are on track to make landfall in the US this weekend and next week," meteorologist Ross Ellet remarked.
AccuWeather's graphics showed hurricane Rachel was forecast to make landfall in Mexico before moving northeastward into the US interior. Rachel had briefly achieved wind speeds of 178-207 km/h before encountering colder waters and weakening.

Rachel's landfall coincided with ongoing recovery efforts in parts of northern Mexico and the southwestern US, which were still grappling with flooding from hurricane Polo in late September. Further heavy rains could lead to flash floods and landslides in affected regions.
Prior storms had already caused beach erosion and significant flooding in southern California. Fox Weather predicted that hurricane Rachel could generate dangerous waves, impacting areas that hurricane Marie had already devastated in September.

Hurricane Simon, a developing tropical storm, was expected to make landfall on Mexico's western coast on 11/10 before moving north into US territory. Expert John Baranick stated that the storm's impact remained "very difficult to predict."
The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) estimated hurricane Simon's maximum wind speeds could reach 185 km/h on 10/10 while near the Mexican coast. Baranick noted, "Sea surface temperatures off Mexico are very high compared to this time of year, creating conditions for rapid intensification."
Hurricane Isaias made landfall in the southern US on the evening of 9/10 (10/10 Hanoi time). Experts warned that the hurricane could cause storm surges of 1,5-2 m, generate tornadoes, and bring up to 250 mm of rain, increasing the potential for flash floods in the Appalachian mountains, the Ohio river valley, and several northeastern US states.

Many areas in the storm's path, stretching from Alabama to Tennessee, faced potential multi-day power outages. Officials in Alabama and Florida declared states of emergency in several regions. "While we hope the storm's impact will be minimal, we still need to prepare seriously," stated Alabama Governor Kay Ivey.
Experts attributed El Nino to the simultaneous formation of hurricanes Rachel and Simon in the Pacific, as well as Isaias's appearance at this particular time.
Despite their differing trajectories, all three hurricanes served as a stark reminder that weather conditions can change rapidly, urging residents to act immediately upon receiving warnings.
